I posted a message on June 17th about the fact that I reported to QVC an ongoing problem with a Delizioso bakery product sold on QVC. A lovely rep from QVC called me since the problem had been kicked up to the Health and Safety department. I told her about a very long term problem with Delizioso's Tiramisu cake having tiny plastic chards embedded in the top of it. Others had warned about this in reviews, going well back into last year. She took a report and told me that Delizioso would be in touch. That never happened. In fact, other customers as well as I have contacted Delizioso without response over the course of months. Besides warning others, I want to say this product is excellent, and that is why I keep ordering it thinking they have addressed the problem. But they haven't.  I see the product is back up on QVC, so I just want to post a warning to be on the alert for tiny plastic shards on top of this cake.

@furbabylover

Wow!  Just curious what are the pieces of plastic chards from? The shrink wrap?

I would never eat it or order it again after happening once😳

Where are the other customers complaining about this issue???

I'm very surprised if this is such a "widespread issue" as you state with the product or packaging QVC would continue to sell.

Usually, after many complaints Q addresses it.

The plastic shards are part of a plastic lid that shatters easily. Some customers reported that they received the product with the lid already broken and tiny shattered pieces of it embedded in the cake, and others were able to carefully remove the lid without having the pieces fall on top of the cake. This was reported by at least half a dozen people in reviews over the course of the last 18 months. It was even a topic in the question and answer field. I have ordered it three times since early 2019 because I thought, like many here, that the problem had been addressed. The cake is worth the bother!! As to why the Q still carries it, I can only assume they are overwhelmed with other issues during these hard times.
