I think that is awesome! I see deer sometimes at our local park and they let you get pretty close before they run into the woods. Lucky you.

just have to ask....they are beautiful animals.....but how do you manage the 'clean up' your herd leaves for you!! we have an occasional deer in our yard....and they never leave without making sure we have to 'watch where we step!!'

@nana59 yes, they leave presents they made themselves. Our yard is actually small and not hard to clean up. We have a flexible plastic rake and a plastic 90 degree shovel apparatus. Not tough to do.

I too love the nature and deer photos. Our local TV station posted a great video. A hunter filmed a fox chasing a fisher through the woods. It was fascinating; it was like the fox and fisher were playing with each other. I had to do a search to learn about fishers. They are approximately cat-sized , but the face is quite different. Among other items in their menu, fishers will eat porcupines; very unusual in the animal world.
