@MamaWick Amazing that the deer will get so close to your cute dog. I guess they're family now.

Re: DEER Thursday 10/01/2020

Deer and unrestrained dogs are not a good combination.   Deer will literally run a dog to death.

A deer can run steady for hours; dogs cannot, even the most stubborn dog that won't let go of the scent will eventually drop from exhaustion.   Dogs around my area of WV go missing often due to chasing deer; very few return home.

@RedTop  Please look at the picture again. Cricket was in her harness and on lead.

EDIT:  Cricket is ALWAYS on lead, whether going out for a short time to potty or sitting with us on the patio or our front porch...always.

I look forward to your pictures everyday.   You are so fortunate to have the wonderul wildlife visiting you everyday.  They know you are their "mamawick".

@MamaWick,

My post wasn't about Cricket; it was simply an informative statement about curious dogs and deer.   Our German Shepherd/Chow mix took off after a deer and was gone 8 days.

@MamaWick   More beautiful pictures! And of course dear sweet Cricket holding her own.  Woofs and extra belly rubs for a job well done.

Tracy is looking good as are the others.  Thank you for the smiles upon my face and heart.

Cricket is a stitch.  Looks as though she is letting everyone know who is really in charge at the homestead.
