DEER Friday 01/06/2023

[ Edited ]

Good friends gave us a 16 panel dog pen.  We have configured a smaller side for Willow to do her business and a larger side for play.  Why?  Well, about 4 months ago, she decided she liked eating deer berries 🤢  This will keep her from doing that as we cleared them all from the pen area.

There is a video up on my FB page.

I think it is a great idea, MamaWick!  It appears Miss Willow has plenty of room, will get lots of fresh air and be among the woodland friends.  I do no think the does and bucks will mind as long as their snacks are plentiful and safe!!!!!  It is nice to know you and PapaWick have found a solution that pleases Willow and the deer, and of course you!!!!

It is always a perk up day when visiting this post, rays of sunshine and smiles all around!

@MamaWick   Great fence!  I hope the deer don't decide to visit Willow while she is in it, but I'm sure you don't leave her alone in there.

@Foxxee  no...that's a raised bed for her 1BR 1BA efficiency.  But the 2 boxers across the street have their own trampoline.   I'll try to get a picture in the next day or so.

@MamaWick   What a wonderful idea!   You and PapaWick could probably go into business selling and setting up such enclosures.

I see a buck admiring how Miss Willow delicately eats a carrot. The  beauty of the domestic and the wild.

Woofs and hugs to Miss Willow White. 🥰Willow, stay away from the deer berries🤣, carrots are much healthier.  No one wants to kiss the lips of a deer berry eater.

Woofs and love to sweet Cricket in heaven. 💕🌈

@MamaWick    That is a great idea for Willow. She has a safe,

clean, shaded area that she can lounge in and watch all the deer

activity.

I don't know if there are any in your area, but in the

northeast, we have deer ticks. They are tiny, like the head of a pin.

My son and daughter , both have had deer tick bites and

had to be treated for Lyme Disease, which can be debilitating.

When deer ticks arrived in our area, I stopped taking the grandchildren hiking and picknicking . Smiley Sad
