I don’t like when anyone is “Roasted”.


Billy Crystal was a Very good friend of theirs and i read was the first person that the daughter called that day. And her friend called 911.




To me that says a lot…


And Billy Crystal and his wife were spotted walking down the street afterwards.

I’ll have to reread @sabatini post but that’s what I thought they were implying that it was from years ago. I was just saying I had no interest in watching the old video of the Roast.


I just watched a segment of ENews tonight on YouTube that Billy Crystal and Rob were Best friends for many years.

@Tinkrbl44   what roast are they talking about?  The roast done for Rob Reiner?  I know they Roasted Rob after he did the movie North, lol I guess it was a bomb. I never saw it. But they Said Rob had the best spirit, and added his own comedy to the roast. He even roasted himself lol.  But other than that, not sure what roast they are talking about. That was done YEARS AGO.  

As I read it a while ago, massage therapist went over to Romy's, across the street,( as no answer at Robs door). and they were expecting him.  Romy went in home with a roommate that came with her. Romy said to roommate to call 911 after seeing dad.  She went outside right away. She didn't find out about her mother til later from police. How sad, and awful for her. Sigh

The Roast is from 2,000, but the remarks by Franken and Crystal are disturbing. Some think that the 25 year old subject matter may add another layer to this tragedy.

@sabatini  I might know which roast you speak of. And it was comedy fodde then. Eddy Murphy said same things.  Today no one would. You know, none of us can predict anything we say or do into the future.   I am sure I have made many statements, remarks,( as have my friends and family years ago that might not be appropriate for these times, or even PC.  Especially over 25 years ago or more.   Both Billy Chrystal and Al Franken are stellar comic, IMO.  They also are extremely kind, generous and giving men.  As comics they can be pointed, direct, political and relevant to things going on around them. That's why they always have catered to specific audiences and tastes.  Personally, I relate more to Al Franken comedy lol.  I still see him as Stuart in Stuart saves his Family, lol. His alter ego from SNL. Great writer as well

Based upon new reports as to Nick's medical condition,  this could possibly not even go to trial, should he be deemed not competent.

It is the same with the son of Ryan O'Neal and Farrah Fawcett.  Redmond O'Neal was found unfit to stand trial for robbery and assault.  He is currently in a state mental hospital.
