I have arthritis (osteo). I also have the home of my dreams, and a dreamy husband.

This is what I want.  I gave notice at my job this morning.

@Sweetbay magnolia   you will NOT regret it!!

Re: Cutting Hours at a Job

[ Edited ]

@Sweetbay magnolia, I am sending best wishes to you as you ponder this issue.  Take your time figuring out how to deal with it and check into disability options.  That will help you make the best possible informed decision.

I am 63.  I had a very high pressure job.  I didn’t realize how tired of it I was until I retired.  I deliberately retired early as both of my parents passed at the age of 65.  I am starting to physically slow down a bit.  Again, deliberate because I have some overuse issues.  I am adjusting my physical activity to low/no impact on the joints.  I think I can do anything and some times that is not a good thing😁!

I hope you can ease your way into a new routine that makes you happy.  Good luck!  LM

PS, @Sweetbay magnolia, just now seeing that you retired.  I am happy for you.  To me it is one of life’s greatest gifts.  All the best!  LM

Good decision @Sweetbay magnolia. Better to tend to your home, husband, and of course, yourself.

@Sweetbay magnolia, it's sometimes hard to let go of the job we've had and (sometimes) loved for a lot of years, but there comes a time when it's time to just let go and move into a new phase of your life. Good for you for recognizing that it's time. I bet you'll look back on this and say that you're so glad you made the decision to move on. Best of luck to you - enjoy your new life!
