I went to Costco today and they were wiping the shopping cart handles with antiseptic wipes when you walked in and there a few empty spots on the shelves in the warehouse.

We were at Costco today and before we got the cart I gave my husband some wipes ( I have a little pack in my bag) because our Costco never has had wipes before. Well today there was wipes at the door.

Walmart and Kroger always have a purell wipe dispenser by the shopping carts at the front of the store. I always pull one up and use it. Couldn’t hurt!

Our costco has had wipes for several years.  I always use them and always scrub my hands when I get home. I am totally neurotic about it. mr henny thinks I am nuts.

@hennypenny

I go to a very old Costco that used to be the headquarters.  They have people to dry off your cart handle when it is wet but never  have had someone with wipes to clean it for you.

@DiAnne , how weird is that?  I walked into my Costco here in Nova Scotia this morning and two people wiped down my cart.  LM

I experienced the same thing here at my Costco in Alabama.  I thanked them.

There are always wipes available at the entrance to my local Costco and I use them to wipe down the cart handles.  The last trip a couple of days ago, when approaching the door to Costco the greeter actually had the wipes in her hands offering them to us before we entered the store.  So they are encouraging everyone to wipe their carts.  This has never happened in the 20 plus years I've shopped at Costco.  Yes, we are seeing changes as a result of this virus....just taking cautionary measures and that's a good thing.

Sam's club is not following Costco's  protocol.  But I continue to wipe my cart without the encouragement.
