Consumer Reports Ranks Wegmans #1...

followed by Publix and Trader Joe's.

Walmart was 67 out of 68!

Congratulations again to Wegmans....they scored 90% in all categories.

Hi Terrier! I haven't seen you lately so I hope this finds you well.

I read that issue of CR recently. Of course, that store isn't in most of the country so I was not familiar. But my grocery store out here in the West (west coast chain), Raley's, came out #3 so I was glad to see that. Smiley Happy

I dont really see how you can compare a store like Wegmans to one like Tr Joe, Tr Joe is not a full service supermarket.

Wegmans' is great, but their pricing is just not competitive for weekly shopping imo.

Since there isn't one within 500 miles of me, doesn't matter IF they're Number 1 or Number 68. Smiley Wink

There's one about 60 miles from me, but agreed, the point is kinda moot, lol.

We don't have Publix in upstate NY.

I just got home from 10 days in FLA - we shopped at Walmart and Publix. I'll take Publix any day - in fact, it reminded me of Wegmans.

Re: Consumer Reports Ranks Wegmans #1...

Wegmans is my run to store when I need a few items. I've tried to do my regular grocery shopping there but the store is overwhelming large and the fact that the pharmacy is right smack dab in the middle of the store, spreads the grocery aisles out all the more. When I'm doing my weekly shopping, I want a clean, well stocked grocery store with consistently good prices, not a store with many specialty areas. Give me ShopRite any day.
