I already explained in an earlier post that the Q should offer another avenue for customers to voice their constructive criticism of the hosts, in private, away from the bb.

Threads on a public bb where the hosts cannot defend themselves, deny rumors etc is not productive for anyone.

Hi, Marianne! I think that's a great idea, though it would definitely be hard for them to enforce the way the forums are set up right now. I agree, it's painful to see some of the harsh comments about hosts, written by "brave" people using anonymous nicknames.

Just my opinion, but I think they have a minimal number of moderators and they can't keep up with all the forums/threads/posts. Unless they change that and also decide to be more even-handed in their moderation, I seriously doubt anything will change.

LOL Complicated, they've got their sad suggestion thread but people come on there and tear people's suggestions up... you can't win for losing when making a complaint..

Hi, PeachySue! Where is there a "sad suggestion thread?"

doo, under Q talk, it's a suggestion box- I call it sad, LOL

You mean the "Suggestion Box" forum? I think it's ineffective, partly because the threads in that forum don't appear when we click "View All Categories." So it's neatly hidden away, like a few of the other forums.

Posters trying to police others is a waste of time imo, and agree we really don't know the real history of anyone here.....

A complete waste of time and it only makes things worse, or I think so.

Thanks for this thread, Scottie.{#emotions_dlg.thumbup1}

I hope everyone will voice their opinions to QVC. I just learned about the "Community Update" so I posted one comment there:

"It's nice to see the surveys. I think all who participate in the forums would like to think they have some input even though we all realize QVC owns the site and can do as they please. However, I've said this repeatedly: The surveys were not placed prominently and most posters had no idea they even took place. It was left up to a couple of us to start threads in various forums and do our best to notify others. A minority of people knew, and a minority participated. Just my opinion, but if QVC really wants to know what most of us think, then make sure most of us know about your polls. Otherwise, don't ask.

And, yes, this blog is a perfect example. I seldom see the blogs and in my opinion one has to make a concerted effort to seek them out and find them. This one even references my thread (and I do appreciate that), but I had no idea this was here until another poster was kind enough to direct me to it.

Therefore, if posters feel these surveys and polls are cosmetic and don't demonstrate a genuine interest in our opinions ... well, it's pretty easy to see the reason.{#emotions_dlg.unsure}"

Well said DooBdoo. I think many of us felt the survey was mostly window dressing for changes they wanted to make anyway. I am very happy that they decided to leave ALL the long standing threads alone. It was the right decision.

All in all, complicated has a good idea. Private emails to a 'suggestion' dept. None of which would be visible here or anywhere. That would solve a multitude of problems.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

As a side note: "If I were a newer host" (or any host, for that matter), I'd want to know what tips, etc. I could use in order to improve myself, and ultimately my shows. Just maybe there are employers/managers/etc. in general who don't want to 'say anything', etc., etc. They just might be 'too nice', which is a good trait. But private emails to a special suggestion department might prompt management to have special 'tips' meetings, etc. Something like sales reps...........what works, what doesn't.........how to present ourselves to the public, our manner of speaking, etc., etc. Well, maybe that's not permitted anymore, who knows. I'm always thinking out loud, 'so to speak'. (No pun intended....LOL....)

Thanks scottie......this has been a very interesting thread to read......a real eye opener. At least we know how posters in VP feel. That was made quite obvious by the posts on here.
