I already explained in an earlier post that the Q should offer another avenue for customers to voice their constructive criticism of the hosts, in private, away from the bb.

Threads on a public bb where the hosts cannot defend themselves, deny rumors etc is not productive for anyone.

LOL Complicated, they've got their sad suggestion thread but people come on there and tear people's suggestions up... you can't win for losing when making a complaint..

Peacysue, I don't even think it should be ANY thread, it should be a drop box private message area where they can put their suggestion or critique in, and no one sees it but the Q.

What's the difference in bashing the products & etc that the Q sells in comparison to remarks about a host yet threads continue absolutely shredding posters- mostly a certain one- with their know it all remarks and making fun..

I suppose you could take it a step further and question why it is OK to flay celebrities and other people in the news too.

I've seen words like "pig", "ho", "trash" in posts about women in the news.

Do you think this is OK? If so, what is the difference since all of the above named people are folks we don't know.

We aren't talking about celebrities, we're talking about conversations about QVC hosts- they're salesperson, not celebrities- what is wrong with saying lip liner is out, eyebrows too dark, don't like the cut of someone's hair, or the face they make when they eat? LOL and some celebs are those words you mentioned- it's their lifestyles all out in the public that they want all the attention and big bucks.. I'm not trying to argue with anyone, just voicing how I feel... so the next time a one particular poster is shredded, I'm going to start getting louder- no one that posts with us should be made fun of or treated like that-= we don't know their history like none of you know me...

Women in the news are people too. The fact is you cannot say say "some celebs are those words you mentioned". You don't know them and what you read in the tabloids is not necessarily true. In fact, probably not true.

Let me suggest to you that the poster you mention also puts bizarre things "all out in the public". With your reasoning then, anything goes for her too.

I'm simply finding it hard to separate your logic as to who it's OK to trash and who it isn't. Wouldn't it be simpler if we just didn't use those awful words for ANYBODY?

Yes, after reading here, I do think that a special private email re: suggestions/constructive criticisms regarding hosts, programs, etc. would be very beneficial to QVC. I'm sure that the hosts attend meetings, anyway, where possibly our comments could be mentioned. Sort of a 'pep rally' for hosts, I'm imagining, where ideas and tips can be offered to hosts. in a civil manner. Also, the newer hosts just might appreciate suggestions, etc. I know that I would.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

Thanks for this thread, Scottie.{#emotions_dlg.thumbup1}

I hope everyone will voice their opinions to QVC. I just learned about the "Community Update" so I posted one comment there:

"It's nice to see the surveys. I think all who participate in the forums would like to think they have some input even though we all realize QVC owns the site and can do as they please. However, I've said this repeatedly: The surveys were not placed prominently and most posters had no idea they even took place. It was left up to a couple of us to start threads in various forums and do our best to notify others. A minority of people knew, and a minority participated. Just my opinion, but if QVC really wants to know what most of us think, then make sure most of us know about your polls. Otherwise, don't ask.

And, yes, this blog is a perfect example. I seldom see the blogs and in my opinion one has to make a concerted effort to seek them out and find them. This one even references my thread (and I do appreciate that), but I had no idea this was here until another poster was kind enough to direct me to it.

Therefore, if posters feel these surveys and polls are cosmetic and don't demonstrate a genuine interest in our opinions ... well, it's pretty easy to see the reason.{#emotions_dlg.unsure}"

Yes, I agree, nothing on the bb. Maybe the powers that be will take your suggestion and run with it..

Posters trying to police others is a waste of time imo, and agree we really don't know the real history of anyone here.....

Okay, I give up my argument- you are 100% totally correct, no awful words for anybody- let's all remember that when you start to crucify someone because of their alleged bizarre things, opinions and etc., think before you post! I'll pay more attention too. This has not been a recording!
