I was just talking to my sister about getting a tattoo or two.  I used to be concerned about when I get old or when I am dead (funeral home).  Now I figure, don't care either way.  Regarding the latter, my soul will hopefully be in a better place so who cares if the mortician snickers.

I'm the baby and when my sister asked, what kind of tattoo Bernie.  I said, a full sleeve is my goal.  The phone got really quiet on her end (rofl).

LOL.  Go for it!  I've always wanted one, but for whatever reason, never did it.  It is going to be my b-day present to myself Smiley Happy

I know a lady who has the most amazing artwork on her arms ~ it is just beautiful.   She gets it done pieces at a time,  as it is just too painful to do in one sitting and also really expensive!

the thinner the skin, the more painful it is.  That is why I am going for my forearm...  I was thinking wrist or ankle, but that is really thin skin there.

Re: Community Chat Chit-Chat thread!

My husband and I were supposed to get discreet ladybugs (it was our thing).  Well, that was before we got married.  So I asked him, when are we getting our tattoos.  He said, I'm not getting hepatitis (lol).

Seriously, if I could stand the pain, I wouldn't mind a sparrow on my chest.

Is thin skin, where you can see the veins right underneath?  If so, I better take a bottle of vodka with me.  You can see my entire road map of my circulatory system.  Well, except for my back and rump.  I want to be able to see them.

I don't think so.  You can see my veins too, even on area where my skin is "thicker".  Thin skin is like around the top part of your hands, wrists, ankles, collar bone area, face.

If you do this, talk to the artist who will be working with you on it.  He or she will help you find the perfect placement and also help with coming up with a nice design.

Biancardi, both of the tattoos you featured are beautiful.

Anyone else going to 'step out of their boxes' and do something daring for themselves?

Not if it involves a tatoo!! I have a friend who took her mom and daughter to a tatoo artist. They all got the same tatoo on their ankle-it went part way up the outside of the leg. All 3 said the part at the ankle hurt soooooo much that they doubted they'd get what they were thinking of doing for the other ankle.

I'm not really into voluntary pain. The dermatologist gives me enough of that-
