I think maybe a professional organizer. I really love organizing things. I would also like to work with animals in some capacity, like as a vet or something. Another choice would be a travel agent. I would love to help people plan their trips. I am always asking about people's vacation plans, both before they go and after they come back. I love to hear about travels and I'm very good at planning trips.

The same. I was born to be a writer/journalist, and I knew it, even though music was a close second. I got my first professional byline at age 15, took early retirement at 55 but kept on parttime freelancing for a few years after that. Suddenly, I was ready to give it up, which I happily did. I definitely would do it again. The business has changed dramatically, but the need for REAL, fact-based information is stronger than ever.

@dulwich I thought this was going to be a thread about reincaration (which I think is hooey) and I only opened it because it was your thread! LOL
Glad I did.
I would go to the Gemological Institute of America and become a jeweler (starting out as a jewelry store employee and hopefully then one day opening my own store). I love jewelry - always have - and am in 7th heaven in jewelry stores. I am so interested in jewelry that when I do go to jewelry stores, the clerks and even the owners are usually amazed at how much I know about jewelry!
The thing about becoming a gemologist though is that I wouldn't want to have to learn a lot of the stuff you have to learn about - things like refractive index and anything mathematical at all or any chemistry about the composition of gems. Ugh that would bore me to tears. So becoming a certified gemologist (and yes, I know you don't actually have to go to GIA in California to do that - no need to tell me), would probably have been impractical for me. Some days I think I should go work in a jewelry store - I think I would get hired because I do know quite a bit and would be eager to learn more. I sure would love to be surrounded by gems all day! Although I'd end up owing money from all the temptation around me, rather than making any money as an employee!
By the way, being a jeweler is very, very different from what my career has been.

It is lovely @cimeranrose . One of my favorite hymns speaks of the unborn like this
You who formed me before I was born,
In the secret of darkness before I saw the sun, in my Mother's womb

I’d be independently wealthy so I would be able to do volunteer work through my church full time.

If I could come back I would elect not to come back.
