May I add a 2nd part to this question?  How many pillows are you all using? To sleep with.

I have tried so many different pillows...from Tony Little, Joy (hot and cool), My Pillow, Serta, and even the Copper Infused pillows and find that I need a combination of all of the above.

The My pillow was just too soft and I have the firm one. The Tony Little pillow lost its shape over time and the Joy pillow was too firm but I did like the cool and hot combination. My latest copper infused pillow is okay but I still needed 2 of of them to be really comfortable...Thank goodness the Aleve PM helped you to get to sleep!

Yes, I feel the same way.  I had some PT last year for neck pain.  Nothing wrong with the discs.  They gave me neck exersizes to do everyday.  I have heat pack and a shower massage and when I have to, I take extra strength Tylenol.  Advil would indeed work better but it raises my blood pressure.  My therapist buying a $$$ pillow was not likely to help with my neck pain, he suggested that I sleep on two pillows.

Years ago, I saw a bin with microbead pillows in all different shapes and colors.  I decided to buy a star-shaped one that was filled with microbeads, but not overstuffed. I could not believe how much that pillow helped me to relax my neck muscles.  I took it everywhere:  vacation,  overnight visits, even to the hospital.

The best ones are not filled to the max.  If they are, they have to be broken in.  The log-shaped pillows are horribly uncomfortable---to me.

Maybe you can try one to see if it helps.  They are called Microbead pillows or Squishy or IScream (geared to kids and scented). Don't forget:

Overfilled pillows won't be comfortable right away. Give it time.   The cactus one is really cute!  The flower below didn't work for me.  SQUISH.JPGCACTUS.JPG31HI19RK1WL._SL500_AC_SS350_.jpg

I purchased a couple of inexpensive pillows from our local Meijer’s about 2 years ago. Should have bought 4 more at the time as, of course, they are no longer sold and I can’t find them anywhere on line. I use a bed pillow about 2 years and then it seems to get too flat for me. Just bought a bed pillow for $6 at my local Dollar Store and it’s working well for me so far.

I love the Tony Little Pillows....they wash well too.

I HATED the My Pillow pillow....they were just awful.

Does anyone make an adjustable pillow sort of like a mini Sleep Number bed?? That way you could adjust the firmness of it. Maybe I could invent one, if someone hasn't already, and make millions!...LOL!Woman LOL

When you lose some one you L~O~V~E, that Memory of them, becomes a TREASURE.

Re: Pillows....

[ Edited ]

I also have difficulty finding the right pillow that is comfortable.  The vast majority of pillows are too high for me, causing a "crick" in my neck.

Most pillows I've tried were either too high or too low for my neck to be in a comfortable position.  Also tried the "my pillow" and didn't like it at all.

I just recently purchased a "Bed Gear" brand pillow and it is working so far.

Target used to carry a "2-in-1 pillow" that had a "rim" around the edge for neck support.  The company doesn't make them anymore and the new style doesn't work for me.

But pillows definately do impact the quality of your sleep.
