Re: Colorado Dad To Be Sentenced Monday

Such a beautiful family snuffed out because of passion.  Heartbreaking.

If some men weren't so tied to their wallet, there would be a divorce instead of a murder.

@YorkieonmyPillow.  From what I have read it is his parents saying this.

It's not just his parents.

Apparently, people have been studying her numerous videos and have concluded that she was mean and emasculating to him.

@YorkieonmyPillow.  I hadn't seen that. I guess he should have gotten a divorce instead of murdering his children. What did they do to him?

Re: Colorado Dad To Be Sentenced Monday

@proudlyfromNJ   If you're asking about his wife, apparently she is very dismissive towards him, bossy, rude, and says "he'll do anything I tell him to," when in other videos, she is more loving.

I haven't watched them all and have no interest in doing so, although I got the same impression in the few clips I watched.

I think people are trying to figure out a motive as opposed to "blaming" his wife. Obviously nothing she could've done justified being killed, but people are curious as to WHY............

@YorkieonmyPillow.  Yes, everyone wants to know why. I watch a lot of the ID channel and I always wind up wondering why on earth do people do the things they do.

This dude is disgusting. I can't even think of words to use. Any excuse/reason as to why he did this is just an excuse. He was having an affair and told the gal his divorce was about final. So glad that gal went to the police (per an article on Fox news) after his family went missing. The wife's family has to be just devastated. I pray for them.

The Colorado Dad that confessed to the murder of his wife, and children has taken a plea deal, and is to be sentenced Monday. His parents were interviewed, and believe his wife was more likely the one thst killed the girls. He had a girlfriend, and she has spoken now. She says he told her he was at the end of a divorce. She says he lied to her about his family situation.

I feel for both families in this tragedy.

Originally the guy admitted to just killing his wife, not the children.  He blamed his wife for that.  Is he now pleading guilty to killing all three of them?  (wife and 2 kids?)  that's what I want to know.  Please verify.  EDIT:  OK.  I got it now.  Here is the link  The guy's name is Chris Watt.

Found some information about how the plea deal came about.

I don't know why they offer a plea deal to someone who is so obviously and admittedly guilty.

I listened to the District Attorney press conference. He said her parents did not want the death penalty sought. In Colorado, executions are very rarely carried out. He would have been entitled to many appeals, and there would of course have been a lengthy trial.

He is suppose to be sentenced to life without parole, which in the end will be the same as death with Colorado's history.

The DA also said that after the sentencing is over, he will hold a press conference, and reveal more information about the evidence.

There are times people scream for the death penalty.  I believe life without parole is a death sentence and many prisoners wish they were dead.  To spend the rest of ones life in prison may very well be worse than the death sentence.  I'd be interested in hearing what the DA has to say after the sentencing is over.  The man who committed the crimes is a monster.

I'm glad he accepted the plea for life. Had he been found guilty by a jury and given the death sentence, he'd be safely tucked away on death row, probably never been executed and lived a long life - acclamating to prison life just like Scott Peterson.

My biggest wish is he will be put in the general population. There is a pecking order. Even hardened criminals will be less than impressed that this lowlife murdered two beautiful children (aged 3 & 4) and their pregnant mom. Let prison justice prevail and may it be as terrifying for him as it was for his family.

Yes, yes, yes, you said better than I could have.  Heart
