Re: Coloradans…

[ Edited ]

Best to get out and start shoveling right away when this heavy, wet stuff starts accumulating at any amount even if that means going out there several times just for the areas where you need to access. It's just too heavy to lift otherwise.

Might be spending the entire day outside!...LOL!!

Overnight accumulation is going to be a beotch.

I’ve got sheets over the tomatoes but I have to say that next year I’ll be waiting until Memorial Day! I’m most worried about our trees so I too will be out there with a broom bashing off the heavy snow and hopefully nothing will be damaged

Meanwhile today is in the upper 90's.  Over 100F tomorrow.  I'd rather have the other forecast.

What the heck!!  I don't think SW Colorado is really part of Colorado... It's 72° here...we have a wind fire warning with gusts to 45mph... it's very dry and dusty.. Thankfully the irrigation water is running so we can soak everything down... Enjoy your snow!!  DW

There's about 4 inches out on my deck and lots of sticky wet snow stuck on all the trees and anything above the ground. Tree branches are hanging low and some have broken off and landed on my yard...pretty good size branches, too, I must say. I'm sort of not looking forward to waking up tomorrow morning and seeing more broken tree branches. Just hope they dont' fall and break something like a fence or worse...a power line.

@SilleeMee

Over 15 inches on my deck and it’s 5:30 a.m. and still coming down. Meteorologist just said heaviest bands of snow coming today. Snow through Sunday.

At this point, I’m just gonna hunker down inside until August. lol

West Westminster here: only about 5”-6” and I’ve been out batting snow off what trees I can reach, the smaller of which were dipped over to the ground. I’m so glad we didn’t get the heavy snow I’m reading of here and sure hope all is ok for you, especially the power lines. I have to agree that I’d rather this than heat but it’s scary when the possibility of trees coming down enters the picture.

There saying it will feel in the mid 100's today.  NOT going out today....

Crazy isn’t it? You’re dealing with the heat and some of us are dealing with snow.

@Athome2

I just saw on the news that about 10,000 people in the metro Denver area have lost power.

You’re north-west of Denver? I hope you’re doing okay.
