Re: Color Pronounciation

[ Edited ]

@lovesrecess Today on Lori's show with Amy, one of the colors was listed as "champagne". The color was clearly not champagne. It was good that Amy stated that the color was a shade of green, not a color most of us identify with champagne.

@Yes, like a sea anemone. But I think it can also be a flower or flower type.

No, her speech impediment has to do with the letter L when it follows a vowel. Which is why she says cawd instead of called.

Dear Amy---bless her heart..... and we all know the meaning by that phase------seems like when I accidently watch when she is on, there is always some sort of silliness with her--try not to watch ---can be just too "precious", ya know???

And "gode" instead of "gold," and "code" instead of "cold," etc.  Other hosts from that area of PA pronounce those words the way Ame does, just not as noticeably, so I'm wondering if it might be a local thing.  (Maria McCool -- the Calista hair products person --  speaks the same way, and her salon is in that area.)
