I no it's not important, but this would have a been a good addition to the ongoing thread here. :-)

@suzyQ3 @The crux is that the first DA promised not to prosecute and that promise should have stuck even if the promise was verbal. Looks like this will set a legal precedent. The second judges ruling to allow the self incriminating statements into the criminal trial is separate and a secondary issue. The main issue is the violation of the original promise made to Cosby.

I thought that this would get lost in that thread.

@Mindy D  it is precedent setting.  They will be citing this case in many courtrooms.

Yes, Cosby's self-incriminating statements made during deposition still stand...he is guilty of the crime.  Cosby is allowed to walk.  Sad that a guilty man is free, but good that DA's are acknowledged for creating undue process of law.

DA's should have joined Cosby in jail.  We now have a known s-e-x offender that distributed drugs to his victims, returning to his mansion, and freely roaming in society.  No celebration warranted. Cosby is guilty.

This court ruling did not exonerate Bill Cosby. He is still a multiple sex offender. He was released based on a previous deal he made. I can't stand to look at him.

Have to shake my head that things weren't neat and tidy before the initial conviction, leaving no loopholes or reasons to revisit and overturn.

Cosby's attorney didn't do anything wrong.  It was the State (D.A.'s) that got it wrong @phoenixbrd .  As much as we might not like it, we have to be honest about what transpired here.  We don't like it, but the facts still matter.
