@SportyShorty07, Thank you so much for the kind words. You made my day. I am very proud of my daughter. She is also nonverbal and has a mentality of an 1&1/2 year old, but we all know from taking care of exactly what how she’s feeling or needs. All I ever asked for is her to be happy and healthy and she is. Even though Peppa is her favorite show, she doesn’t mind shopping with me on qvc. ☺️
@Poohbear52 You're very welcome, Poohbear52 ! I bet you're proud of your lovely daughter and I can assure you that she is very happy and loved with you as her mom! Non-verbal children and adults find different ways to express themselves and they have opinions, individuality, intelligence and a light in their eyes and love in their hearts. Its wonderful to know that she's attended school and that your state extends education to 26 years. Peppa Pig is a fun show- I've seen clips of it on youtube , That's so great that she watches QVC with you! Mommy- daughter time is a lot of fun .

Sportyshorty07, I agree with everything you said. She is a lot smarter and more aware of what's going on than anyone ever realizes. Every bus driver through the years have always told me that she knows she's the next one going to be dropped off at home. Of course, she's the most like herself at home. It amazes me on how many people just assume that she doesn't know what's going on. Thank you so much for your kind words, you totally understand and I'm so grateful for people like you and for all who want to help take care of special needs kids and adults.

This article was quite interesting and I was very surprised that Colin Farrell's family is directly affected by this neurological disorder. He's doing good work by raising awareness and creating the foundation. He said it's his hope that the world will be kind to his son and others who suffer from various disabilities.

Thank you for posting this @Jordan2. I knew nothing about Angelman Syndrome.
Thank you too to those of you who have been personally touched by this syndrome and to those who support you with love. It's obvious you were meant to be the loving moms, family members, and friends to those who are non verbal.

I think Colin Farrell is an excellent actor . After reading this post, I know he is an excellent caring father. Bless him for what he is doing for all those who have Angelman Syndrome. There are many heroes who put time and effort into doing good for others, Colin certainly is one of them.
