Re: Cold temps and furniture

@Demitra1

We haven't had our whole home gas furnace or AC turned on for close to 10 years now, and we live in Nebraska. Our furniture has been doing fine in both cold and hot temperatures.

Now if your are talking 5 digit $$$ for a piece of furniture? You are on your own with that one. None of ours comes even close to those numbers.

Re: Cold temps and furniture

In the winter everything becomes looser, doors open readily, furniture drawers open nicely, in and out.  In short, everything shrinks.

In the hot summer, my bedroom smells like Pier One because half of my furniture is rattan.  Doors stick, drawers stick.

So, I would say, yes . . . your furniture in the garage will be affected by the weather.  I would bring it inside.  It's a little more work . . . but, IMO, a little inconvenience is better than perhaps ruined furniture.  Better safe than sorry.
