Scientists solve mystery of why the planet’s axis is tilting eastward
"The position of Earth’s axis has dramatically shifted, likely because of melting ice sheets (fueled by climate change) and natural changes in water storage on land, according to a new study in the journal Science Advances.
The shifting axis might add to the effects of climate change on our stressed-out planet: Global temperatures are getting hotter. Weather events are becoming more extreme. Sea levels are rising.
'What the shift does tell scientists,' Ivins said, 'is that we have a new tool to probe past climate changes in a very quantitative and accurate way. To us, that is significant.' "

It may be because we moved all our furniture to 1 side of our house. Ya never know. Some say CC is responsible for so many things I've lost count, so why not our furniture? It's just as likely as many other things I have heard and read.

John, it's just a guess, but I think the water spoken of might weigh a little more than your furniture, lol.

What climate change? 250 peer-reviewed studies last year alone don't back the theory, most scientists call it "weather," and with 40,000 dying in Europe during the winter of 2014, yeah for warming...but we're actually cooling.
BTW, the planet itself spews so much more filth into the atmosphere than all human activity combined, and when the sun burns hotter, we're going to be hotter.
Tax the sun! Tax the planet!

You can tell that to the overwhelming majority of scientists who do back the findings on climate change.
Of course, some people could see the earth flip poles and think nothing odd was going on ![]()

We are all free to believe what we wish, of course.
Report: 97 percent of scientists say man-made climate change is real
As for the 3 percent of scientists who remain unconvinced, the study found their average expertise is far below that of their colleagues, as measured by publication and citation rates.

Lots of grants being written for government money. Lots of money. Lots of money. Lots of deep pockets. Lots of deep pockets.

That's cute. There are over 12,000 papers supporting it and there's a 97% consensus rate that it's real and that people are contributing to it.
And no, we're not cooling. That's a myth believed when people don't look at the whole picture. http://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/Features/GISSTemperature/giss_temperature2.php

I have to admit I find it odd the climate change deniers aren't even interested in the fact that the earth's axis has dramatically shifted.
Oh, well.

He's close. The "water tables" are affecting it too.
