On Classmates they are listed by their name from high school. On Facebook usually people also put their married name. So say their maiden name was Smith and married name is Jones, they would have Susie Smith Jones or Susie Jones (Smith). So when you search by the maiden name it would still come up. HTH

Wsmom: Thanks. I haven't checked Classmates or Facebook. Not sure if I want to even sign up for those things. I was just curious about how one would go about finding someone, though.

I think Classmates is a ripoff.

A company bought the Classmates site - and they started charging. When people wanted to cancel, they kept charging. There were many bad reviews.

Most of the time they are listed under their name that they used while in high school.
