The clarks in stores are much different than QVC.  So are many other products that sell in brick and mortar as well as qvc.  I notice this with most of the handbags like Dooney, and a few other brands.  They change a pocket or two to make it a tiny different than the store.  They eliminate hardware in certain place, or a zipper or inner pocket.  They eliminate or change bias trim on onside pockets, and they change the lining.  Some of the handbags and shoes the thickness of leather is slightly thinned, lining, and sole.  All of this cuts costs a bit, and changes the item so we cant price compare, because if they change 7 points ( I think it is 7) on an item, even slightly legally it is a different item although at first glace it seems the same.  We think we are buying a certain brand, we are...just a tweaked brand.

This is true in some case. But there are many Clarks styles (for example) on QVC that are exactly the same as those in the stores. The same is true of Dooney. You have to watch out for the ones that are "made for QVC," but there are some styles that are exclusive to the Q for a certain amount of time, which is different. Also, I occasionally see something that was originally a Q style available elsewhere (again, I'm talking Clarks) with a "Q" designation after the name. The Leisa Cacti comes to mind; I think the Lexi Marigold is another.
