Nothing "wrong" with your question, really...but it would have been helpful for those of us who weren't watching if you'd said something like "why are the hosts on (whatever show this was) dressed like cheerleaders?" 

Then we would all have  known what you were talking about.

OP just asked why they were dressed as cheerleaders.  She didn't  say anything about a problem.  Someone answered that they were dressed up for Halloween.  See? Question answered, no problem.

Actually, the problem and confusion for many was who was the "they" the OP mentioned. 

She gave no clue who she was talking about, and most people aren't psychic.

Cheerleaders, free shipping...STILL can't convince me to buy.

Harmless silliness overload....but at this point, they have to try anything....when customers who still watch on linear TV are  going up and down the TV dial for the 500th time on what feels like the 51st weekend of gloomy rainy raw weaher ( at least here in the NE where they are located) you have to do SOMETHING to catch viewer's attention!!

And it IS better than the gloom and doom on all the other live real-time stations.....

Just our QVC doing what Q do!!!!!
