@SandySparkles I didn't tell the customer the part, order and let them wait. No, I'm not THAT brave. I just tell them I will get your order when they are off the phone. Haha.

To add something good about cell phones: They keep people from trying to talk to me in line at the Post Office! ![]()

@SandySparkles He sounds like a self-involved egotistical bum.

@Bookplate Welcome!🥰 I saw that recently, and could NOT believe my eyes!😁 It was a ...What in the world? moment!🥰
THANK you SO much for caring to share your observation this evening!🤗

@spiderw wrote:I agree 100% I grew up without cell phones. However, I was blessed with many good and close friends and we would get together and TALK, yes, FACE to FACE. We would hang out, go places and have fun together. They were some of the best years of my life. I own a cell phone and have nothing against anyone who does. But people are addicted, constantly checking to see if anyone contacts them. Aside from emergencies , phones shouldn't be used every minute of the day. I lead a full busy life, still see my friends in person and family and hardly am on my phone. I wouldn't trade that for anything.
@spiderw Welcome!🥰 I LOVE❤ your post!😁 That is how I look at some things. I just wish I knew what the answer was.😁

While rudeness and bad manners have always been around, unfortunately, I first started to observe a great increase in this behavior after the pandemic. It's as though many people simply regressed! Bad behavior is so predominant in our society these days that it is beginning to be the new normal for many...it is so very sad.
I try my level best to treat others as I wish to be treated even when it is not reciprocated. I hope that just as negativity and hate are contagious that kindness and compassion are too and I am sorry @SandySparkles that you were treated so thoughtlessly. However, I believe that your kindness, compassion and positive nature will prevail! 💕
@Puggywuggy Welcome!🥰 I SO appreciate your kind words, and ELOQUENTLY stated beliefs!😁❤ I too am a FIRM believer in showing kindness over hate, exercising LOVE,compassion, and empathy in the face of maltreatment, but boy is it becoming a HUGE challenge!😁
THANK you SO much for caring to share such an insightful message this evening!🤗

Yes, I agree. Cell phones are both a blessing and a curse. Some people can't live without looking at their phone every minute. It's especially rude when you're trying to have a conversation with someone who keeps glancing at their phone. Usually at that point, I will just just walk away and not bother.

@mormel20 wrote:Regarding cellphone use in supermakets: they might be Instacart Shoppers. This is what they do for a living and they have to use their phone to see what products to buy for their customers. The reason I know is that I work in a supermarket and I see the Instacart Shoppers all day, every day. So just because they are on their phone does not mean they are wasting time. They may be doing their jobs.
@mormel20 Welcome!🥰You are correct!❤ I too, have seen the Instacart and other grocery shopping service workers in the market, but it is usually obvious it is the them; especially because of the baskets or bags they have with them, and they are constantly looking UP from their phones in search of items. They do not appear distracted; they appear focused.😁
THANK you SO much for caring to share your much appreciated opinion this evening!🤗
