Cellphone RUDENESS!!😐 - Page 3

Many are too absorbed in themselves. Rude, trying to order at say, the deli counter. One day, the guy (worker) said, next! (And the person on the phone had a fit). I serve one day a week at a local restaurant. On more than one occasion, I said I will get your order when you are off the phone. Order, and let THEM wait! So rude.

I often wonder what people are looking at..........I have a hard time focusing on my phone when waiting for somebody............my tablet might be a slightly different matter, but only if WIfi is available.

@Nightowlz Welcome!🥰 I was TOO stunned to respond, and would likely have been too afraid these days!😐 Not only are people distracted with their cellphones, some are walking around on edge! I would hate to push an unstable person over the edge!😊

Sometimes I forget it's better to not open my mouth. I still do at times but not like I used to.

You never know who may be on edge or what they might do.

My husband and I went to Target to pick up some wine that we like on sale. We went down the wine aisle and there was another woman right ahead of us and then ahead of her (closely) was a young woman (probably no more than 19 or 20) with her shopping cart and talking on her cell phone. The lady ahead of us was trying to reach around her and can tell she was being nice and trying not to "interupt"her. Then the lady said excuse me and the 19/20 year old lashed out. Very loudly saying, "WHAT!!!" like she was being bothered. I just can't believe people sometimes.

@ScrapHappy Welcome!🥰 WOW!!!😮 The sheer NERVE of that young woman! Just ANOTHER example of the disconnect I see these days; particularly with the younger generations!😐 Then I wonder, do I fault them, or were they not TAUGHT decency and decorum?🤔

I think cell phones get blamed for people being rude, in general. These people always existed.

Now, they just happen to be holding a cell phone, and that gets added to the debate.

As for those with the dashboard mounts...in most cases, they are being used for GPS purposes. No different than using the GPS system that came with your car, but our cell phone GPS apps are much more useful.

Everywhere I go people aren't looking up and out at the world they are looking down and are just oblivious to everything around them.
