I have bluetooth in my car and I use my phone that way while driving. I see nothing wrong with it.

My pet peeve is cellphone usage anywhere! They are SO annoying in grocery stores, restaurants, stores in general, and don't even get me started about doctors offices, movie theatres, and while driving! I don't understand WHY people have to blab non stop on phones everywhere they go!

Just a few days ago, I went down the frozen aisle at Walmark to gander at some stuff- just so happens the stuff I wanted to look at was hindered by a lady with a foot on the bottom of her buggy texting. I didn't say jack and just stood there until she moved, I mean I was right at her and she didn't look up and finally didn't say anything- moved away like nothing happened.. Now I know I could've said excuse me but I did it on purpose, to see how long it would take to notice me. It's all about the Me Me Me Me syndrome!

I'm an "old foggie" too! While I have a cell phone and use it when I really need too, I don't want it invading my life 24/7. I don't give out my cell phone number to everyone, just a handful of people have my cell phone number. If others want to reach me, I still have a landline phone at home. I don't want places of business, etc., sending e-mails or calls on my cell phone, so I never give it to them, I give them my landline number. Sorry but I feel it's an invasion of my privacy. The cell phone does come in handy and I enjoy the convenience of it at times, but not 24/7. I would hate to feel that I have to be "attached" to my cell phone.

No you are not being old fashioned...it's tacky and in very poor taste to talk on the phone while doing your business in the restroom - especially a public one...not mentioning the germs that are added to your phone as if it isn't already exposed to enough germs throughout the day..but to deliberately expose it to restroom germs is just..ewww....ewwww...ewwww!

ITA! RE: the germ thing, it is really GROSS. How do you wipe while juggling the phone, or do you tell the other person you're talking to you are in the bathroom and have to tie up the call so you can finish?

If someone in the restroom starts to use their cellphone there, I just keep making flushing sounds. That usually gets them to stop. Or, I'll say out loud, " I wonder if they're talking about my SIL or BIL." Sometimes it gets quiet.

and it is really gross when you think about it.

I've been in the bathroom with my young daughter and witnessed women talking while they go...during the err...paperwork...and then out the door.

eeeewwwwww.

(note to self...don't borrow anyone's cellphone)

I never really thought about it, but I can see why you don't like the idea. I don't know that I've never seen anyone in the restroom talking.
