If anybody has any designs about doing this in the future - or maybe we should do it now - a thread should be started:  CECIL LOVERS ONLY!  with the disclaimer:  Any negative or disparaging remarks are forbidden and will immediately reported to the moderators.  That way, Lovers have their thread; detractors can have their thread.  We can call out killers of animals for trophy SCUM (we call them as we see it); the others can call them CTP (contributors to prosperity).

Count me in for Cecil.

I don't favor this.  Posters can't tell others what not to post - only the Moderators can do that.  Much as I'm on the pro-Cecil side of the posts on this board, I do not favor at all "forbidding" someone to post on a thread. That is just wrong.

Yeah, you are right.  I was just fun in' with some folks!  Don't take me too seriously on this point.  People here just don't know my sense of humor.  Guess I should stick my sense of humor on those who know me and get it, as in face-to-face with friends.

I don't think people should be forbidden from posting but I don't understand why some people will repeatedly come back to threads they don't like.  I think when people do that it does cross over into bullying.

I'm not going to quote and repost things, but my comments were not meant in a political way since trophy hunting has nothing to do with which party one is affiliated.  However, if you google the parties I mentioned along with trophy hunting, you will find some disturbing pictures.  It is my hope that this may change the minds of those who don't think the issue is a big deal.

It's a huge deal.

Thank you for your information.  I am sure I will find your research very disturbing, as well.  I had no idea.  My intentions were only to keep the thread alive.  It's amazing to me how differently people who have wealth behave.  A true test of character.  Again, I thank you for educating me in such a kind fashion.  All my best to you!

@esmeraldagooch   I'll post for the umpteenth time - I can walk and chew gum simultaneously. So too I can care for multiple important issues at the same time. Why do people so resent us posting about one of them? We don't have to post about multiple important issues on the same thread, yet so many people denigrate our concern about a murdered lion, as if we aren't concerned about what they deem to be more important issues.  For goodness sakes...  Let us people upset about Cecil's murder be concerned about him.  Why are you folks so insistent we shouldn't be?  I have enough concern for many important issues, and I donate to multiple charities with multiple different causes, including helping animals.  So what's it to you  how important animals are in my life?  As are other important issues.  I don't have to justify my concern for animals to anyone else.

Pearlee,  I was DISagreeing with the original post by esmaraldagooch....  I am like you and love animals.  I do not think it's too much...  I posted several times on the other thread about Cecil.  Read it and you will see my opinions of what should happen to this idiot who killed him.

Not trying to be mean, to be honest, I've kinda of seen a lot of people who are not interested in this story posting on the threads.   Just curious why.

*shrugs* Sorry, truth hurts.  Again, not trying to be mean.
