NOT HER CHOICE

I'm horrified to hear Carolyn and Dan Hughes were let go. Carolyn, Gary and Nutsey were great. I already stopped watching any shows with Jane Treacy, Shawn Killinger and Amy Stran. They are so annoying. I'm really disappointed in QVC's employment decisions. I'm pretty much done with QVC. I can't support a company that seems to be discriminating against older hosts.

I can't believe they let Carolyn go but JT still has a job...so far.

@GoneButNotForgotten  To me JT is one of the worst Hosts.  All she does is brag about herself and her Family.  Most of us want details about the products not about her Family.  I don't get it.

I will really miss her straightforward presentations in a normal conversational tone, her smooth voice.  She is one of the least "wound up" of hosts, and for that I watched her as often as I saw she was on.  I truly hope when she used the word "bittersweet," so there must be something good in this for her.  I hope longer term she will see that it really was a good development.  Carolyn, I'll miss you!

Okay, earlier today another poster put the link to a presentation yesterday in which Carolyn was talking about her upcoming swimsuit collection.  So, just now I went back to that link just to watch it again and guess what? They have CHANGED the presentation on that link. Same product but different HOST. So now all trace of Carolyn is gone on that link. Wow.

I totally understand some people on here being very upset over Carolyn, I haven't been with QVC but a couple of years so she wasn't too familiar to me, but was very sweet and I liked her just the same. I also understand boycotting QVC over it, as I would if Shawn were let go. For me, she makes it worth watching.

I think I will call and write and complain about this . I have been watching less and less and I am done I can find something else to watch and keep my channel on .. QVC Big Mistake

     Maybe it was her idea?

I feel certain they were not "let go" but were given a nice retirement incentive and chose to accept it.

I think that Carolyn would have cited a decision to retire as the reason for her departure. Instead, she was very diplomatic in her statement. I think she was let go and not because of poor job performance. I'll miss her on the D&Co shows.

A very good friend of mine works for Qualcomm. They have let a lot of employees go and have offered a very generous "golden handshake" to many others as an incentive to retire. She is only 60 and not sure she's ready. If I were her I would take the money and run.

This is terrible. Soooo many other hosts should go before her.

The management team at Qurate messed up big time.
