Re: Car rental in your future?

We've had only a debit card for somewhere between 15 and 20 years.  To be honest with you, I thought it enhanced your credit rating because everything got paid on time.  (with the help of auto-pay)  We've paid off two mortgages and have absolutely no debt.  It was important to me to have a worry-free retirement.   I also thought it took less time at the checkout to process a debit card.  Boy am I wrong.  I've used the new credit card three times and no one has asked for a signature.  Zip, zip and its done.  The debit card requires the four digit code to be entered and the system also gets bogged down frequently.

Re: Car rental in your future?

I thought it was pretty much standard for all car rental agencies to require a credit card regardless of the location.  Apparently not.
