underneath the car seat. When she looked under there a second time with a flashlight she spotted them

I understand, but not everyone carries "a big lump of keys".   Whether it's in my jacket or pants, I feel secure not having my important items all in one place, just because.

Back in Oct I went to NC to visit a friend, got there on a Thurs and unloaded the car and didn't think about my keys the rest of the day - the next day my friend was going to go to the gym and I needed to move my car so she could get hers out of the garage and couldn't find my keys anywhere - finally took my cell phone out to car and turned on flashlight and found them between the seats (my keys had been in my pants pocket but fell out).
