Been there, done that.  I hope you find them.

So, I bought a little cavalier to attach my key ring to the shoulder strap ring on my purse.  They get hooked there under penalty of death.  LOL

It happens. I have always been super compulsive about always hanging my keys up in a designated hook. Literally, I've made that my ironclad rule for decades. It works.

@goldensrbest

Maybe your dog got it and then 'buried' it somewhere.

I had a dog that buried remote controls in the backyard. Went on for months on end. I kept buying new remotes thinking they got lost in the couch. Nope, found them buried in a hole in the ground. Woman LOL

The fancy electronic key fobs they use now can't be duplicated and cost hundred of dollars from the dealer.

I have a dog-leash type of spring clasp on a key ring and as soon as I take the keys out of the car or door lock, I clip it to my handbag.

Haven't lost keys since I started doing this,  and they're easy to grab.

I'm trying to picture it, is it a caliber type clasp?

I hope you are able to find them very soon, I know it can be very frustrating, been there, done that !  I now keep my keys in the same place so when I pick them up to go out,  I come back and  put them back in the same place near my front door.

@goldensrbest - I know this is going to sound weird, but have you looked in your kitchen trashcan?

I only mention it because, the one time I couldn't find my car keys, that's where they were!  We turned the house upside down and I was on my way out the door to get to a shop to buy a new key, when DH found them.

It appears they got caught up in some stuff while we unpacked groceries and got tossed in the bin.  Phew!

(Also, are you sure there's no hole in your coat pocket?  Maybe they've slipped into the lining?)
