Past time to get ourselves in gear and clean up our act and the oceans. After the oceans die we die, plankton is responsible for much of our oxygen. Sad state of affairs, this is a world wide emergency and people get stuck on Maher's personality. He didn't create the study, he brought it and Capt. Watson to the attention of his listeners.

Amazing isn't it? Head in the sand syndrome. Ignore the message because one doesn't like the way the information is delivered.{#emotions_dlg.sad}

Anyone with young children or grandchildren should be concerned with what kind of world awaits them...or doesn't await them.

It always amazes me that some folks are willing to believe any conspiracy theory that comes down the pike ( the prez is foreign born, the Malaysia airplane is in pakistan, the ACA has death panels) but scientific studies and evidence of climate change we can see and experience is somehow a load of hooey.

I'll never understand it.

My son and nephew are both in the Navy and before each ship comes in from deployment they throw everything garbage over the side, my nephew had to participate in this on one of his deployments, its the same with cruise ships. {#emotions_dlg.angry}

Sheez. I knew the cruise ships are disgusting but the Navy, too?

I was appalled when he told us this tansy, he was sick to his stomach that he had to participate but of course he had no choice. {#emotions_dlg.sad}

NOMEAT.......how lucky you are to be able to call him friend. He's awesome and then some. I've never been able to understand why he isn't some sort of an advisor to the Pres. I know that no desk would hold him, but holy cow we could certainly put his thoughts and advice to good use.

I saw Captain Watson on Bill's show last night and I am so glad that he is working on the important issues and trying to get the word out on the desperate situation that we are in regarding the oceans of the world. I plan to follow his work closely.

I do find Bill's show highly informative with the varied guests and issues that he presents.

For those that do not watch the show, both sides of political issues are presented. Last night's panel of 3 included 2 conservatives, Tom Davis (R-VA) and political analyst Carrie Sheffield.

"My desire to be well informed is currently at odds with my desire to remain sane."
