Anybody watch him on Bill Maher last night? He was talking about possibly the coral reefs being gone by 2025 and the oceans dying by 2048. He also touched on how our extreme weather could be something we will deal with from now on and is not just an oddity. It sounds pretty grim boys and girls and I don't see how any of these horrible conditions are reversible. If the oceans die.......well.....think about it.

I remember when I was in high school late 60's. We were told then we had five years left....

Since then I don't get too worked up about these grim predictions.

Sorry wouldn't watch Bill for information of any sorts. Not said with disrespect towards the O/P but definitely towards Bill.

He also mentioned all the plastic in the ocean!!!! It last hundreds of years. Breaks down to small particles that end up in the fish we eat.

I haven't watched the episode yet. There's no denying that our coral reefs are eroding.

I can understand that his humor may be grating but he does have both sides represented.

Bill Mahr isn't anyone I would trust for any information. He makes no secret of his agenda.

And you want people to ""make a secret"" of their agenda""? Their real feelings & thoughts.

This isn't a matter of whether one likes or dislikes Bill Mahar. He does invite guests with varying points of view.

While Captain Watson may be controversial, he was partially instrumental in the United Nations Hague based court's decision against Japan's whale and dolphin hunts.

Sea turtles and other marine creatures are mistaking floating plastic bags for jelly fish and eating them and dying.

Isn't there also a move to harvest the ocean's floating plastic trash and have it recycled into reusable materials?

Edited for typo.
