Then you need to watch again. They're all using crops to beat the opposite of heaven out of those horses, especially as they approach the finish line.
I was referring to EspinoZa and CC. I never saw him use his crop in either of the races that I watched. Did you, specifically, see that he did?

I just heard that California Chrome has been given permission to run at Belmont with a nasal strip and that nasal strips will be allowed for anyone in the field. Someone here said that nasal strips are not permitted in NYS? They are actually legal in NYS. It's more of a ""house rule"" at Belmont.
