I only go to CVS to pick up my scripts.
Their prices are outrageously high compared to Target and Walmart.

However, I'm fortunate to live in an area near five major grocery store chains, so most of what I need is always available at one of the stores. I haven't seen any shortage of chicken or other meats.

No at home Covid tests available at CVS or Walgreens. We tried several stores. Walgreens had signs on the front door saying no tests left. Yikes.

Can anyone explain why there's no chow mein noodles anywhere ? I have had problems finding any the past few months . walmart none every time I check , found a couple packages a few weeks ago at our local grocery , then today , empty shelf ! None at ALDI either . Couldn't find any at the Costco or Sams either .

I just did a search on Amazon and several selections came up. I do not purchase chow mein noodles so I am not sure if the prices are good or not, but that's an available option.

I like CVS too, because of the coupon and extra bucks! It really helps! But the availability of a lot of items is troubling. I find I have to go to Walgreen a lot more and while I like this store, I think a lot of their prices are much higher. If you have a Target near you, they seem to have a good supply of paper products, and the prices are pretty good.

Just finished with instacart. I had to use 2 stores as there are bare shelves in them. Wegmans has the most food missing. It's a huge store with many people shopping there. I got most of my salads there. Even common lettuce like iceberg, etc were gone from the shelf. I tried Giants but the same situation. Nearly all precooked chicken, (NO chicken salad!!! anywhere) Roast Beef, etc at the deli was missing in action. I tried one more store, Safeway. They had more stuff on the shelf (smaller store) Anyway truck are trying to come in with food. You're more apt to get frozen food over fresh food. One thing good about Instacart. You dont' have to schlep from one store to another, if they are out of things.

I think what shelves are bare depends upon where you live. It seems even places like Costco have been having trouble getting a few things. Last time I was there they had no fresh meat other than ground beef. Kroger has had no tissue in weeks at the store where I shop.

We have not eaten out since last summer, and that was the first time in two years; just trying to feel safe and not take chances with our health. And DH tested positive for Covid two days ago. The irony is not lost.
