Re: CVS Shelves Low or Empty For First Time In Long Time..

I was in CVS 2 days ago.  They were well stocked but only had self checkouts and besides the 2 in the pharmacy only one worker o with a line of people following her to ask for help.  There usually are workers all over asking if they can help you which drives me crazy!!

I guess so far I am lucky.  Don't know where everyone lives but being more rural our shelves seem stocked. And as we shop the shelves are being stocked around us. North central MD on the WV border....

@amyb  Also many retailers have employees out sick with Omnicron, some stores reporting 50% of employees out sick.  Shelves not getting stocked.

Until I see some drastic changes in the how products are received and moved, nothing in my opinion is going to change, for the better.

This is sure not life threatening but I've noticed for weeks and weeks that our CVS has hardly any makeup items.  I get all these coupons from them and then they don't have any of the products.  I have been in Walgreens quite frequently and they seem to be stocked well.  Walmart is hit or miss.  They are often out of grocery items or certain paper products.

@AngelPuppy1 CVS is my go-to because it's close in town (tho' Walmart & Walgreens are just as close) and they constantly send me discounts and coupons, so it just became my one stop for those type items. And the help and store are just a better experience usually. If stores are closing I wonder if this has also to do with these recent shortages, along with ALL the other problems US retail is experiencing. I hadn't heard that. Ours has the "Minute Clinic" in it, and is such a booming store in town, always busy.

Who knows anymore on anything...it's ...all so disconcerting, to say the least...especially two years in.

I've yet to try my Walgreens and Walmart, but I will, today, for the paper goods, before I can't find any. Not going to hoard, just fill my backstock was all I do, so as not to run out before needing it. I don't think lack of supplies is critical yet, but that can change fast.

I like to do my shopping early in the morning before the crowd, unfortunately, store clerks, even managers are still stocking the shelves, etc., due to the lack of help where it used to be done by the night shift, so you're bumping into them trying to manuever your cart in the aisles.  I guess you have to take the good with the bad these days.

I saw that yesterday. A manger at the grocery store was stocking shelves. He was on his hands and knees putting items on the bottom shelf. He was dressed in a dress shirt and tie.

Also noticed yesterday. That instead of having large empty spaces the grocery store is moving other items into the empty spots. We were near tomato sauces and there was a large display of Corelle dishes. So I guess they are looking what they have extra in back and just bringing out to fill the empty space.
