I have my college ring. I bought it right before graduation. It has my birthstone flanked by teeny diamonds, 14K gold.

Still have mine. Also have my sterling silver sorority locket from college.

Long gone.
We offered kids, high school class ring OR new laptop.
They both chose a new laptop.
About time to order daughters college ring. She wants that one. ![]()
We'll see when time comes for son on college ring. I'm sure he'll want one for the significance of the four years, or five, of hard work.

Yes! College reunions, It's so detailed: year, college, my degree, my name, I think that's all. fitting on a small ring.

I'm surprised so many high school rings were 14K. Ours were vermeil and made by Josten jewelers.

When I was looking for daughter the other day . . . there was 10K and 14K and maybe something else . . . difference between 10K and 14K was 200.00 or thereabouts. I think she wants white gold . . . I told her to go for 14K IF she wants it.

Still have both my HS and my college ring. I never wear them since I have gorgeous diamond and gemstone rings now, many years later, but I would never get rid of my class rings.

Whoa, son's will be a little more spendy due to bigger ring, white gold, 10K 950.00 14K 1295.00 and 18K 1710.00 and that is FOUR or FIVE years from now. No telling what it might be then. Dramatically higher. Or about the same . . . but probably not lower. ![]()
Daughter . . .10K 640.00 14K 815.00 18K 1010.00
For her they also offer a dinner ring style with either diamonds or CZ's. But I think I like the traditional style better. IF it were me buying.

I think that back when I was able to buy mine, we had different choices on stones and metals.
I was trying to think of my Mom as I chose mine, as it was a gift from my Mom to me, and she was a new single-parent back then.
I chose a really pretty light blue stone with a metal that is similar to titanium, in today's metals. It has held up really well, over the years.
