I celebrate but have not "gathered" since I retired 20 yrs ago.  I'm sitting under a palm tree sipping margaritas or laying by the pool checking out the cabana boys at my favorite casino resort.

I can't make those kinds of plans so far in advance.  It really depends on a lot of things.

My only relative and I both live in Covid cesspools......2,000 miles apart.   We don't have any travel plans........

ABSOLUTELY!!!  My favorite time of the year!!!  I am not going to be controlled by a bunch of fake news stories that are blown way out of proportion.  Or stats that are totally fabricated!!!!

We are.  We are thinking of traveling to Florida to celebrate all of the birthdays (including a big one) that are also around this time of year.

@gidgetgh My heart goes out to you.  You've been through a lot, and I'm sure the holidays will be a blur for you this year.  Eventually you will find a "new normal"....but until that happens, be gentle with yourself and don't feel you have to pretend what you don't feel.  🌷

Probably will do nothing for Thanksgiving. May either mail or drop gifts off on front steps of people for Christmas. I would never even consider putting someone else at risk. I want everyone to be around for the holidays next year.

I spoke to my daughter yesterday, who lives in a small town...the numbers there have been relatively low so far.  A friend of hers called and said they had a family gathering a few weeks ago.  The grandmother just died of the virus, and 19 other family members who attended have tested positive.


No fake news in this sad story.
