This has not been investigated as yet so why is everyone jumping to conclusions with no facts to support it?

There are certain things that have been reported that have not been disputed. It's ok to discuss it imo.

I'm glad Rihanna's act was removed. She, being Hollywood's poster child for abuse (partner Chris Brown), wouldn't have been a wise choice. Happy they're talking about it. We all need to talk about it.

Of course they saw the tape. They hid it in the name of money and football. Its QUITE SAD that women are still prejudiced upon in 2014. There are also other sports figures still playing sports right now who have been arrested and found guilty on domestic violence charges. In the NFL alone there are 20 according to CNN this evening.

The NFL games are on more than one network, not only CBS.

OK, I thought it was exclusive.

I just can't imagine why CBS left this important factoid off their extensive story on tonight's newscast. It disgusts me. The NFL is getting major breaks on this story.

Do any of you think Roger Goodell should be fired or step down? In light of this I think he should step down.

I disagree. As far as I'm concerned this whole thing is between the Rices and the law. He happens to work in the NFL. I don't know what his employer has to do with it...especially to the point of losing his...the employer's...job. I hope Goodell doesn't give in.

I think there is way too much talk about "who got what and when". Sure I think the NFL ought to be questioned and investigated thoroughly, but the perpetrator seems to have gotten lost in all the discussion about the NFL and Roger, what's his name.

Then you have the Prosecutor letting this Rice guy off the hook with virtually nothing. My biggest beef is with the legal system. They didn't need his "now wife" to testify against him to be able to win this case. What, she passed out or knocked herself out in the elevator? Him dragging her along the floor out of the elevator door was shown in the 1st video.

That is where the Prosecutor might have to work with only circumstantial evidence, but I've seen many murder cases won with only circumstantial used against the defendant. Something fishy about not pressing charges on this guy Rice even without the cooperation of his his Mrs. testifying.

Sure the NFL could improve a lot by just looking over the League Rules in the NHL(National Hockey League for those that don't recognize those 3 letters). One felony be it drugs or domestic violence and the player is out of Professional Hockey, period/fine'/done forever.

Think the main focus outta be on this Rice guy and less of the peripheral possible offenders, which to me are the Team Brass and the NFL.

I disagree. The NFL is the governing body over the game and has a mission and values statement that includes the conduct of players and integrity of the teams, players and the game.

Our Values

MISSION AND VALUES

To present the National Football League and its teams at a level that attracts the broadest audience and makes NFL football the best sports entertainment in the world.
To achieve our mission, we will constantly challenge ourselves to improve and be guided by these values:

INTEGRITY

We safeguard the integrity of the game.
We are ethical in all of our dealings with fans, clubs, business partners, and each other.
We follow through on our words with action. We are honest and direct.
We create an environment that inspires trust and confidence.

PERFORMANCE AND TEAMWORK

We expect from everyone in our organization the highest level of performance and commitment to our mission and values.
We set the highest standards and challenge ourselves to keep improving.
We are accountable for our results and consistently measure our progress.
We make smart and informed business decisions.
We work together, sharing knowledge, information and other resources to attain the best results.
We focus on organizational objectives, not individual agendas.

TRADITION AND INNOVATION

We recognize that the NFL's traditions are an asset, but we also embrace change.
We do not rest on our accomplishments.
We seek new ways of performing in response to fan interests, technology, and the best practices and business models of other organizations.
We balance the need to change with the utmost respect for what has been accomplished.
We are thoughtful and deliberate in our thinking, and always consider the long-term consequences of our decisions.

DIVERSITY

We create an organization that represents, supports and celebrates diversity, while also embracing our shared interests.
We represent and respect a wide range of human differences, personal experiences and cultural backgrounds for the benefit of the organization and our employees as individuals.
We provide each employee with an opportunity to achieve his or her full potential.

LEARNING

We take individual responsibility for learning, personal growth, and career development.
We actively support, as an organization, opportunities for individual development, but we recognize that personal talent and initiative will primarily drive individual growth.
We encourage employees to seek learning opportunities both inside and outside the workplace.
