I had Bunion surgery, on both feet, when I was 28. I didn’t even have any pain. Best thing I ever did for my feet.

I had quite a bit of swelling and for about 6 months, I had to go up 1/2 a shoe size and wear a wide shoe. Then back to normal.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

@crazered

I have had bunion surgery, but my knees are fine. It was quite a few years ago, but the only issue for me was not being able to run for about a week, but I could still ice skate.

Walking was a little uncomfortable, but it wasn't what consider to be pain. Foot was tender for what seemed like forever, but it did not inhibit any of my regular physical activities.

@suzyQ3

Good for you and your quick walking. Like you have done, when I have an issue with mobility, getting to the source and fixing it is what I want done. If it requires surgery and "down time", so be it. I am not interested in a temporary fix, I want the source eliminated, when possible.

Keep up your walking!
