No. They will tell you that they feel trapped inside the wrong body. The brain says you are a certain secks but the physical body does not match. Also it's not the same as being g-- or lesb---.

I understand what you are writing but, if those guys still don't get the fulfillment they thought they would get, that stuff can't be reversed. It may not be what they were hoping for all along.

To me it's just no effort to be a female BUT to stay attractive, svelte, well-groomed, and to acquire and maintain good taste is a chore for many. Will he know what he's getting in to in the end.

Not everyone chooses to go through all phases of secks reassignment surgery. Some do hormones only, no surgery. It's also pretty common to experiment with living as the opposite secks before surgery. BTW, it's not just men transitioning to be women. There are also women that transition to men. Regardless, it should always be done in conjuction with lots of therapy exploration.

I recall watching a program on transgenders, that it's a long, long process, where before hormones, or anything, they see a therapist, for numerous sessions. One of the homework assignments is to start dressing as the opposite six.

As for "staying svelte", etc, just exactly how many (for lack of the right word) natural women do we see in day-to-day life are "svelte", "attractive", or "well groomed"?

So who is the decider that men who become women have to be any more so than natural born women?

It's for the person themselves to decide just exactly how female they want to look and be, and for no one else to decide that.

I was at the grocery store today and saw People Magazine, Us and InTouch. Only Us and InTouch had Bruce on the cover although I reazlize they made a comment about him on People.com yesterday based on the info from Bruce's family. They have not interviewed him. I didn't look through the other magazines but I doubt he spoke to them either.

Noel, I've learned some people don't understand it's illogical to have an opinion on a fact. I like this quote:

Yes, I'm aware of the subject at hand. I know what DSM is. "The experts" ALSO deny Lyme disease; so if they can be wrong about that, they can be wrong about this.
