Re: Bride kills Niece on wedding night...

This is the area of the PA where I live and one thing reported on the local news was the police took her into custody in something like a hospital gown because the her wedding gown was taken for evidence.

It will be interesting to see how she is charged because I don't feel she will be in jail for the rest of her life.

This area of PA has been in the national news 3x too many recently. This, the school stabbings and the 9yr old girl killed.

It would be appreciated if people would title their threads like this, simply "Sad Story" or

something of that nature, so people don't need to see the horror every time someone posts.

But then you'd have to read all the 'sad stories' to find out what they are about. {#emotions_dlg.confused1}

I realize you are trying to shield yourself from all sadness -- good luck with that.

Exactly why I put the info in the title...I didn't want it to be a "tease."

I got the impression that the 3 of them celebrating at this rather sleazy looking bar WAS the wedding ""reception"". Classy it wasn't.

I would much rather see the topic in the title than a "tease".

And who takes a gun to a wedding ?

The father of the bride?

Exactly what I was going to say! I guess no one remembers shotgun weddings.

Re: Bride kills Niece on wedding night...

The thread titles I don't like are things like "Teen does unspeakable thing to animal", where the unspeakable thing is actually described. I'd rather those were titled "animal cruelty story" and I'd know not to open them. I don't think this thread had an upsetting title at all.

I don't read them if they say sad stories. I can shield myself from the sadness on the boards, if I don't have to read it in the title.

The gun was not at the ceremony. They had gotten married earlier, went to a local bar later to celebrate with family and friends. The gun was in the center console of the groom's vehicle. Group decided to leave the bar and an argument started about who was capable of driving, the groom was intoxicated. I have not seen or heard of statement made by the bride.

Only reason I have any knowledge is because it is being followed on our local news.

Thanks for the full story. Smile

The full story is at the bottom of my original post too. It happened in the parking lot.

Based on the comments here, many didn't open the link or didn't read it well.

A common occurrence here.
