Agreed.  And that is why I "hearted" your post asking for a link at that time and why I included (as a concern) in my response.

We had a break-in at our Florida house in during a hurricane. They came in with a boat right into our boat basin. The entire area was without power. They ripped the electric meter off the house thinking it would disable the alarm system...WRONG!!! The alarm company called and then my neighbor down there called and said Tiny It looks a swat team with big dogs at your house. They put the glass back and mopped the water. They arranged to have someone come and empty the freezer since it would be awhile before we could get there and have the power repaired. The robbers did not get a thing. The police were wonderful.

I just read a couple of articles.  Seems there are some on Twitter saying the hurricane means time to go looting (like they're advertising later plans).  I would post links, but the articles mention the tweeters have a few things in common in terms of politics and I'm guessing it would be a violation of standards.  I've also seen articles about looting in Haiti.

Apparently there were rumors on social media about looting reports in Jacksonville, but police issued a statement stating rumors were false.

As I've posted before, i know what it's like to lose everything  and my life is not worth "things." 

If a major storm was going to befall us and the police say, "evacuate", i'm outta here.  I'm not going to risk my life nor my family's life.

Thanks.  I see the reference to shooting.  I see that another post (not sure of the content) was removed by the mods.

I thought that you were referring to one of my posts as hateful.
