There is a People of Wal-Mart website for a reason......

Just another reason for me never to shop at Walmart. I actually don't even know where one is around me.

...and upstate - the THOUSAND Islands are part of the state too!

When I read about the incident, I was disappointed not to be there to see it. Does that make me a bad person? Somehow, I don't care if it does.

I just hate going to Wally World...their quality has gone down the tubes too...and they have maybe 2 cashiers open and long lines and maybe that's what makes people irritable and helps produce altercations...although it no excuse for people to behave that way---SHEESH!!!
A couple years ago, two cashiers got into an altercation. One went on break and the other followers her and shot her. She was upset the other lady got a promotion over her. They were both around 50. One lady is in jail, the other is on disability.
A couple years before, a shopper was run down while walking out the store. They were in the cross walk, a drunk driver ran them over and killed them. The driver knew they had a description of his pickup and ended up committing suicide because he didn't want to go to jail.
My coworkers husband works in that store. He was stopping a shoplifters and ended up with stitches on his chin.
It's mind boggling that that one store has these kind of incidents. I know people say no, not in my town. This store is close to work. It's a small town in the Midwest.

@GCR18 Wow --- what horrible incidents!!!--and how sad!! Isn't a bit strange that you don't here of similar incidents at Target, Dollar General, Family Dollar, Big Lots, The Dollar Store, Ross, Marshalls, TJ's, Costco, Sam's, Kohl's etc etc....and these stores have lots of customers and employees.....nope ONLY at Wally World!!!
One time I was in a Walmart with my sister.....and as you were checking out, the cashier was bad mouthing all the other cashiers to the customers-definitely NOT professional.....And another time I was with a friend, and she was looking at a blender.....and an employee came by and was awfully rude---and snappd at us, if you don't want to buy it, make sure you put it EXACTLY on the same shelf in the same position that you found it....I just stocked that merchandise!!!!! Now that's something an employee might WANT to say, but never voices it out loud to a CUSTOMER---again totally unprofessional......The only reason I go there is if I'm shopping with my sis or a friend, they are the ones driving on this trip and they drag me along with them.....
All the other stores--mentioned above-- the employees are very nice and friendly and greet you and ask if they can HELP .....

Scary.
Last year 3 days before Christmas my daughter and I had gone to the mall to get my grandsons picture taken with Santa. When we were done she wanted to go to the food court to get a gyro. There was a big huddle of late teens/early 20s arguing really loud. One guy sucker punched another guy in the head and he fell to the ground smacking his head on the marble. It made such a loud noise I thought he was dead. By that time a few security guards had already gotten there and the kids that hit the other one started to run. Thankfully some bystanders who happened to be male (and fairly big) grabbed a few of the guys so they couldn't get away. This kid that was hit was motionless on the ground for what seemed liked forever. There was blood around his head. Several people assisted him including a nurse while they waited for EMTs. I have never been in a situation where a large group of people started a fight like this and even though we were a good 50 ft away, it was pretty scary watching that happen. You see how quickly things can get out of hand. It was later on the news and about 20 people were arrested and the boy did recover. It was kind of surreal.
