Macy, I hope you will start a new thread with your good news in the title. Maybe not everyone who tried to help will revisit this thread.
oh thanks, I thought I would be able to edit the title and out UPDATE in it, but it won't let me so I just bumped it with my post. Hopefully those who were interested will see the update.
I'm done with P.C. Just say what you mean and mean what you say. It's easier.
update from my flyer and FB post which was shared many times.
I asked for people to contact me via my FB post if they had donated a like new A&F hoodie to this particular thrift store which might have some jewelry items mistakenly left in the pockets, and tell me firstly what color the hoodie was. I received several posts that incorrectly stated the color of the one I bought.
I did finally got a message from someone who told me the color, I messaged back about what kind of jewelry she thought she misplaced. She told me she wasn't sure if she did but she did say her DD had a charm bracelet and she hadn't seen her wearing it so wondered if it might be her DD's. When the mom saw my post she made the inquiry to check it out.
We arranged to meet up at the thrift store after she got off work.
When mom told me the bracelet had the Star of David charm and some other little charms, I knew it was hers. I gave her the jewelry and she was grateful that she could get this back.
Lesson to be learned: when donating clothes, check the pockets.
I love this! Facebook sharing rocks!!! Great job Macy.
Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?
