I don't care for weekends at all, especially Sundays.  By then, I've run out of errands to do, things aren't open, tv programming is different. Just not a fan.  Monday's are my favorite day of the week.

I am also not a fan of holidays, for the same reason.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

I love Sundays, it's a day of rest from a hectic week.  I try not to have anything planned for Sundays.

Re: Boring sundays

Now that I'm retired, Sunday is just another day of the week to me. Before that, I kind of dreaded Sundays. 50% of the time I was getting ready to travel for a least part of the week. I choose to take 5:30 AM flights on Monday mornings so that I could spend more time at home, but I still never seemed to get everything done.

It seems that way looking at it from the outside, I'm sure. All of my travel was domestic, and it was often 3-4 different cities in 4-5 days. You don't sightsee. You're working all the time, even on the airplane. You see the inside of airports, cabs, limos, hotels, offices and meeting rooms. You run to make connections and drive 120 miles home at midnight when you miss the last flight of the night or it cancels. I enjoyed my job tremendously, but there's absolutley nothing exciting about business travel at all.

Sunday is different now that I no longer work outside the home. Our electrical fees are much lower on weekends so I often do laundry on Sunday afternoon, along with baking and meal preparation for the upcoming week.

@Luvsmyfam   I had a friend that traveled a lot for her job...she was single and at first enjoyed it but as time went on, she dreaded the trips.  It was work, no time for socializing and she did not make friends just  acquanitances.  It got old quick.

She remarked one day that as she was traveling home, she could see others settled in their homes for the evening as she was just getting in from a long day.

Beginning in June, Sundays will take on a different meaning for me. Retiring May 28th. Decades of working found Sundays to be frantic - getting weekend business complete and ready for the next week - especially when caring for children and sports tournaments, etc. A joke between hubs and I is 4:00 PM Sunday is the start of spastic colon Sunday. Looking forward to relaxed Sundays.
