Just love to watch his shows......and have enjoyed watching them this weekend. I find I have no problem relaxing when I watch any of Bob Ross' shows....

PBS has provided us with so many talented people on their channel. And really like that they have the 4 different channels. I go to bed with my TV on every night, and it is always on one of their channels.

She had all these practice sheets and books with so many different flowers, etc. You could put the clear plastic over them to learn how to do the brush strokes. She sold painting sets on QVC and I bought a few of them, as well as some videos. I thought it might be a good way to start learning to paint, learn how she did it and then start working to make it look slightly more realistic - I could always recognize something at a craft fair that was painted in her "style". She did some really pretty flowers, and then branched out into a lot of other things. I think I have all those books and practice sheets, brushes, etc. as well as the Bob Ross set. The more I think about it, the more I think I might get those out. I was working back then and didn't really have much time, but I do now. Maybe I'll become a painter in my old age!

Thanks, KITTYMOM NC ! Yes, take those art kits and brushes out and begin to paint ! Great idea!! .......... p.s. And what a great idea Donna had........to 'practice' brushstrokes using the clear plastic overlay. ..............p.s. (Again): When I was much , much younger, I used to sew, try to paint, do crafts, work, study...........I really can't figure out how I did all of those things and how I found the time without feeling tired or overwhelmed. What happened? (To me, anyway)

Technically he was a horrid painter, sort of like Thomas Kincaid. Bob Ross made everyone think they could grab a brush from the garage and create a masterpiece. It looked so easy.
