Has anyone seen the new Kohl's commercial that shows a dad and son walking in a winter scene and the boy sees a reindeer take off flying, with ELO's old hit Strange Magic playing in the background?

I've only caught glimpses of it, but I love it. A nice change from the typical holiday commercial, captures the magic of the season, and the music from "my day" doesn't make me mad either.

sunshine, thanks for posting the link, I hadn't even thought of looking at it in Youtube. I'd never seen the beginning, and what a great commercial.

I know others don't always agree that we should allow kids to believe in fantasy like Santa and such, but I believe it is such a magical time for children, and I fostered it in my own son way longer than most people do. I don't think it is harmful for people to believe in things or ideas that they can't actually see or that can't be "proven".

As far as the commercial, I love that it isn't about the product, the consumption, the selling, but about the magic, about the believing, about the dad and the son.

Thank you for sharing that commercial, I had not seen it yet. I loved ELO back in the day my favorite song was" I can't get it out of my head". Also one of my favorite groups at the time was Emerson, Lake and Palmer performing my favorite Xmas song Father Christmas, which was supposed to be an anti Xmas commercialism song. I love the orchestra sounds from rock and roll bands, truly talented!

Love this commercial! It's magical in so many ways.
