I'm a female (as I think are at least 95 percent of us). I don't overuse punctuation and my avatar is a male....but with a feminine looking hat.

It it seems to me, that the males who post here, have been upfront in saying so.

That's my impression too.  But I have no problem if a few others have slipped in, one way or the other.

It doesn't impact my life in the slightest.

I can't imagine anything less important than that. I don't care. I log on every few days to see what people are talking about, but I don't even look at their names! Does anyone pay attention to the made-up names of anonymous posters? I certainly don't use my real name!

Since you brought up Anonymous, why are so many product reviews written by Anonymous?

Now I'm concerned Anonymous has a buying problem.  Woman LOL

@Kachina624 This is what happened to me when I first started on the boards,I was listed as a male, at one point I must have mentioned that I was female and someone asked me why then I had listed myself as male, when I first came on the boards I had no idea what I was doing so in my naivety I had become male, unbeknownst to me?

Thank you, @shell garden.  I am quite literally SMH at some of what I'm reading here.

Way too much pearl-clutching for me.  But yes, some humor too.  :-)

@Pearlee,

I really don't concern myself with the gender of fellow posters.

In writing I will use 'she' or 'his' for convenience and simplicity but I don't ever know if my pronouns are accurate.

 . .  but seriously, I'd like to know how you identify male and female by their use of punctuation.
