We likely have the same Panasonic system.  I bought mine on HSN....after another poster mentioned it.

I've deleted all my calls several times and started over.

They use different numbers after a while so it seems to work.

         Thanks for your answers everyone. The one I have is the Panasonic from HSN!!  I figured I would have to clear and then start all over, but wondered if there was another way....oh well...

         I have kind of a nasty message on my phone...

basically  "if you don't leave a message then your number will be immediately blocked".  Amazing how many calls don't leave a message - I say sarcastically!!

Yes, they do call a second time, usually with a different number to try and trick us.  Lol

I have been getting multiple calls from a scammer using Apple inc, as ID.  They make 7-10 calls a day for a couple days, they are blocked.

i am positive they are computer generated calls is why they call so many times when they are blocked.  They use the same number too.  I think they cease the calls after a couple days.  But they change numbers and come back in a month.  This is the Apple ID calls.  They other callers call a couple times a week when they are blocked.  Eventually they change numbers and start up again.

i am convinced the phone companies could do something about this.  They have no incentive, as these calls are bread and better to phone companies.  Also, if calls are computer generated, or from over seas they are harder to track. Since this technology is new for robo callers, scammers I think in a few years it will be resolved.  Then they will think of something new

Occasionally I'll go through call blocking and delete the oldest plus I have my fax machine to answer after 4 rings- that works like a charm in its self.

I, too, have a Panasonic set-up but mine came from BJ's..

My blocked calls usually call back with one digit different from the original call....until they exhaust all the digits in each place. Such a hassle to deal with these! I keep hearing someone is going to use some new tech tool to eliminate the robocalls completely...but am sure those sending the calls are already working on how to get around any new efforts to stop them.

@Witchy Woman  ...... At home I have a phone that can block calls.  What usually with most calls is that they stop completely.   But with some the phone will ring once and then stop.  At my office I do not have a phone that can block calls although Verizon marks some numbers as Spam on my caller ID.  One day I got a few calls that showed MY name and phone number on the caller ID.  What is that all about??!?!?!

@Boehm Collector

My blocking feature lets me eliminate the ring altogether, so that's a plus.

As to your own name and number appearing....this is something I've seen for several years.  I have no idea how they do it (someone who understands the technical aspect of this stuff probably does), but the spammers can disguise their number with any number.

I simply don't answer any calls anymore unless I recognize the number.  Anything else might get through once, but I block it later.

I also received calls with my daughters name on caller I.D. and my phone number. I picked up the phone thinking it was my dughter when I heard the voice which wasnot my daughter I hung up and pressed block call. This happened several times.  The scammers are out there and will try anything to get through .
